Created by RKG Creative, the Exhibitour app was designed for museums and was developed to add a unique perspective to the common tour experience. Functioning with a set of BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) beacons placed throughout the site, the app allowed museum visitors to interact directly with exhibits via the smartphone app which taps them into video, audio, and specific tours. Exhibitour also let guests access information about the museum’s facilities and services, The app was able to give museum staff the ability to control the it’s backend where they could create custom tours, gauge visitor interaction and announce current promotions.
